Beijer Electronics' Annual Report 2015

Continued growth in business area IDC and investments in proprietary products in the IAS business area embossed business during the past year.

More information about this is available in Beijer Electronics' 2015 Annual Report, published today in English on the company’s website,  www.beijerelectronics.com.

The business area’s extensive investment and expansion program in IDC (Industrial Data Communication) business area proceeded as expected in 2015. Success in terms of product launches and a large repeat order for networking equipment from Toshiba testified the business area internatinonella competitiveness.

At year-end the partnership between Mitsubishi Electric and Beijer Electronics in the Nordics that spanned 33 years terminated, which created significant challenges for the IAS (Industrial Automation Solutions) business area. Focus was on creating a sustainable platform for future products, which will strengthen the Group's offering in 2016.

For the Group overall, the outcome for 2015 was lower sales than expected and insufficient profitability. However, we also had significant success in the year. With a sales increase of close to 20% IDC reached a new milestone at over half a billion SEK in sales.

In his comments on the year, newly appointed President and CEO Per Samuelsson emphasize the importance of focusing and investing in existing competence within the Group to make a turnaround in the coming years:

"My first six months as CEO of Beijer Electronics have clearly shown the competencies and professionalism of our people in the IAS and IDC business areas. Capitalizing on our employees’ expertise and potential will be a critical factor in the forthcoming change process and is the key to our success."
