Ependion secures order for Indian Rail Operator

Ependion's business entity Westermo has secured a €1.9 million order from the Mobility Business of Siemens Limited (India) for connectivity solutions to improve freight operations for Indian Railways. The first deliveries of the high-performance CyBox router will start during the second half of 2024.

”This is our first major order in India following our decision to establish a legal entity in the country and we are well prepared to serve the fast-growing rail and trackside segments in India. We are also delighted to partner with Siemens Mobility”, says Jenny Sjödahl, President and CEO of Ependion.

Westermo's establishment of an Indian subsidiary positions the company as a preferred supplier for critical infrastructure projects in the region. The order, valued at €1.9 million, encompasses the supply of 1,200 units of the CyBox LTE 2-W router over a period of 10 years, with initial deliveries starting during the second half of 2024. The router will serve as the backbone of the connectivity infrastructure, facilitating seamless communication between onboard computers and trackside operations.
